Canada Cultural Center by Rolf BoumanCharles Chisholm Gallery & Rolf Bouman Photography. The Canada Cultural Center is a permanent exhibition combining the voices and artistic disciplines of photography, paintings, drawings and sculptures. With a profile that is international in scope, featured highlights include the work of traditional and contemporary artists namely Charles Chisholm, Sandra van den Heuvel, sculptor David Shaw and an extensive photographic collection by German photographer Rolf Bouman.
Many of Charles Chisholm’s paintings are inspired by Rolf Bouman’s photographic images. This ongoing collaboration and dialog allows viewers to experience beauty deep in the faces of nature. In an effort to introduce the typical scenes and subjects of Nova Scotia, mainly Cape Breton, exclusive artworks such as portraits, landscapes, wildlife or still life are sold on location. Original concepts of unique carvings, photo prints, silk art posters, marble and granite statues, water color paintings, drawings and jewelry are being created by our on site artists for viewers and passers by.
